12 School Lies

Serena , Blair, Nate, Chuck and their entourage break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun, but when a member of their group nearly drowns, the school threatens to expel the person responsible for the break-in. Everyone agrees to keep a secret pact and say nothing, but it ultimately creates major tension between Serena and Dan, who isn’t sure he’s ready to take the fall for someone else and risk his future. Vanessa is working on a documentary project about private schools and accidentally captures Blair and Chuck discussing their affair. Lily contemplates telling Rufus how she really feels about him.

During family dinner, Bart tells her he had made a contribution to the school.

Rufus and Lily — again?

Memorable Lines

Nate to Chuck: This isn’t a paper. It’s a heartfelt letter to Blair.

Serena: You can’t. Please Mom, not this one.
Lily: I will not base my personal life on your personal preferences.
Serena: Dan is my boyfriend and I know we’re too young to talk about forever but right now that’s what it feels like.
Lily: I know it does sweetie, but –
Serena: But, what? Tell me that Rufus is that important to you. Tell me that whatever the two of you have is the most important thing in your life. Because that’s what Dan is to me, Mom — the most important. I would rather be Chuck’s stepsister than Dan’s. Please don’t do this to me.

Blair: What you said before. I love you too. Always have, always will.
